Mourning Joe on Impeachmen Poll
Mourning Joe and Willie both say that impeachment is bad. Very bad. They showed film of Senator Biden saying it would make sense to impeach VP Cheney first. Joe and Willie said that there isn't time and that now isn't the time. And that it would be bad. Very bad.

My question: How many DUers agree with Mourning Joe and Willie, that the democrats need to avoid impeachment? And how many prefer that Congress uphold their oath of office, and honor and protect the Constition?

Thank you.

I think that Joe and Willie were attempting to speak for democrats. They seemed very concerned. Some of their concerns sounded familiar.

25. Concern trolls. Yawn.
To us, the well-worn mechanisms of Bushevik Propaganda seem tired, boring, and an insult to one's intelligence.

To a nation of Good Germans, it is the God's honest and unvarnished truth.

And it works again and again and again and again and again.

I have been reading a lot of "on the ground" journals of people from different walks of life who lived under the German Bushies 1933-1945. No difference, except the bruital violence, which I will admit is a big difference in terms of ours being the NICEST barbarian tyranny ruled by murderous monsters and criminals that we could ever wish to have (well, for the moment...I suspect that won't survive the first belt-tightening or the next Bushie False Flag 9/11 Op).

Really, Joe and Willie ran through all the excuses this morning; it's too late, there is not time left, we have to look forward not backward, it will tie up the House, it won't do anything, blah blah blah. And don't forget the blondie news reader was right in there agreeing with them.

The fact that there is even a discussion on whether or not there should be an impeachment inquiry given what has occurred ongoing over the last few years is bizarre in itself.

An option one can ignore such as has been shown with "impeachment is off the table" as if our founding documents, checks and balances, freedoms and guarantees are something that can be used as a bargaining chip with violaters (because that is EXACTLY what is going on).

Really. I have no idea who you're talking about.

If they're on TV, I don't watch TV news or punditpap (except for paying close attention to all OJ, Paris, Tiffany and Evel Knievel sightings).

If they're politicians, I'm thinking Lieberman and ??.

If they're Howard Cosell risen from the grave on an overdose of formaldehyde, I'm thinking JOE WILLIE NAMATHHHHHH!!!

10. Not enough time, eh?
IIRC Clinton's impeachment took 6 months (started in Sept, final vote in Feb). There's a year left in Bush's term, seems like we could impeach him twice.

Of course that impeachment was over a BJ, doing one over Bush's crimes might take a bit longer, if only for the reading of the charges.

45. The Constitution is only as strong as the support we give it.
There is no question about what we need to do. There is only question regarding our willingness to do it. To not impeach is to not support the Constitution. And since that is the very heart of America, it's not different than dragging the country around in the mud. And to think Congress has spent time on flag desecration issues. If they can do that, and start an illegal invasion, and allow resolutions to pass that denigrate and weaken our Bill of Rights, then there is no valid excuse for not impeaching. There is only an excuse for providing aid and comfort to a criminal administration.

If impeachment is so time consuming and difficult that it can't be exercised, then the same is to be said for any other act of Congress. There is nothing more important.

and let them take habeas corpus and the Fourth Amendment, they'll be happy and leave us alone.

Being too pushy about the whole "rule of law" thing might just make them angry, and besides, their getaway car is so far down the road, maybe we should just call it "bygones" and tend to our own business without being so rigid about the Constitution and what's legal and what's right.

when they've finished with it. These are dangerous twosome and something must be done.

How are you dealing with that Morning Joe... You know the stuff that goes on there with the female baiting and joking like highschool jam session withlanguage like "Joe is a Camels Butt" (from CNBC's Erin) is really turning me off. I've tried...for some segments to be able to look past what's going on there...but find I have to turn it off. I'm not a high schooler and neither are the folks on that show..but the level of stuff going on is really low.

When Scarborough isn't there and Shuster fills in...it's much better. But, who can wait for that when it's so sporadic. Still..there's little else to watch if one is a political junkie...

I'm thinking the Media Lock Down is almost complete with watching the level of discourse go to "Camel's Butt's" and next it will be "Fart Jokes." I don't know how much lower things can go in the media...but with a year more to go....without impeachment and media change, I suspect much more propaganda and beyond "fart jokes" ...and I don't have ability to know what's worse....and don't want to. I'll have to pull my cable.

53. We MUST somehow demand impeachment followed by accountability...
...and that means war crimes trials, if we're ever to recapture some portion of our national soul.

We're complicit with war crimes to include genocide -- we perpetrate it in Iraq and bankroll it in Gaza.

I'm not a religious person but I've pondered this exchange:

St. Peter - "Mr. J, I'd like to know what you did, what meaningful effort you made, toward trying to help your fellow citizenry stop and/or wrest control back from the fascist thugs that illegally seized power in your country in 2000, especially once it became clear to you that they were not only sponsoring, but also engaged in, genocide?"

Mr. J - "Well, St. Peter, as you may know I was quite the keyboard warrior during, huh what's going on?".... ZAP -- END OF CONVERSATION -- GO DIRECTLY TO EXPRESS ELEVATOR -- DO NOT PASS GO -- DO NOT COLLECT $200.00 -- GOING DOWN.

Apparently, they have no idea how angry & disgusted the people are, particularly that nothing is being done. Or Mourning Joe & Willie are just cogs in the media wheel telling us what to think, hoping the angry sentiment will go away. Wrong. The people are way ahead of those we put in office, as usual.
