Olbermann & Flying Monkeys
Edited on Wed Nov-28-07 10:51 AM by rateyes
Sorry if this was posted last night. I'm just now able to sit down at a computer and type since I saw it, but...

ON EDIT: If you haven't seen it, go here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/
and click on the link "Bush's veil of secrecy."

Did anyone else find Keith Olbermann's remarks last night about the pResident signing the state secrets legislation that Kennedy and Specter are advancing in the Senate hilariously funny, or was it just me?

Keith said something to the effect: Kennedy and Specter will get the legislation added on as an amendment to the upcoming FISA legislation, the president will sign it, and immediately monkeys will begin flying out of his butt!  (I laughed for 5 minutes when I heard him say that!)

There were some guffaws in the background as he went to his next guest. I guess Keith doesn't have any hope of this important legislation getting passed.

1. I watched my TIVO of this this morning...
And I laughed and laughed. I love that Keith cuts to the heart of the matter so quickly.

2. I've been looking for a clip on the net...
What got me was that it caught the camerapeople off guard. Gotta love a journalist who will speak of the person in the oval office in such an "uncouth" manner.

I'm still laughing at it. I wish there were more journalists who simply said it like it is.

4. that was a good comment
and, even if it passes over his veto, Bush will just issue a signing statement declaring he doesn't have to follow it.
