What is the word on Georgia and South Carolina with their drought
Have they had rain? Since I haven't heard anything lately I guess the problem has been somewhat alleviated. Anyone have any updates?

2. not much relief yet,

It will get better, somewhat, when less water is release for downstream concerns and more conservation in ATL.

3. NC has gone back to Extreme drought status
We had some rain a week ago that put a lot of counties in the sort of "code Orange" "severe" category.

We haven't had any more rain and most of our 100 counties are now back to "extreme" status which is the worst drought status you can have (in terms of documenting and measuring it.)

In my area of Central NC, we are down about 8 inches in annual rainfall.

It is very, very, very bad.

4. Up to 2" of rain forecast for upstate SC tonight and tomorrow.
We had 0.05" a couple of days ago. Just enough to make the leaves hard to rake.

That pic.

Might be a good day to stay in and bake. I got a magazine with nothing but holiday cookies in it. :D

9. We had an inch two days ago
It's sprinkling now.

Of course it will take months of normal rainfall--which isn't likely--to get the reservoirs to begin filling again. In the meantime, our Governor, Sonny "Turd"-do, has done absolutely nothing to require that new home construction include gray- and rain-water recovery systems.

10. It's Extremely "DRY" In My Part Of Florida!! I Mark My Calendar IF
we get rain, and it's been some time now. Since last December I think it rained here about 10 times, one or two of them of any substance!! I refuse to wash my windows anymore because it NEVER RAINS here anymore!!

I HAS rained "around" me, further north of me, further south of me, but rarely ON me!! It's really really dry!
