Instead, G.E.RUSSERT ought to get off the Meet-the-One-Non-Journalist circus. He's doing a self-parody, "confronting" COLBERT with quotes from his books, doing a straightfaced "ambush" interview. Actually, it is a primer of how he really *does* ambush Dems.


But thanks for the re-run of COLBERT at the WH Correspondents Dinner, where COLBERT says, "(to the press corps) Go out there and write that novel you want to write. You know, the one with the intrepid reporter who (something like, crusades for truth). You know, FICTION."



It's detestable when these would be celebs---RUSSERT, George WILL, KURTZ--- try to talk sports or whatever, in their belief that everybody ought to be interested in THEM, in their "change of pace"---when they don't do the job they are supposed to do in the first place.


Timmeh has NO irony every time he shows clips of MTP from the past, where there was a panel of REAL reporters instead of him.


O.K., the COLBERT segment is over. Next up is ----his ears must be burning ---Mistah KURTZ.
