Anyone know anything about grassfire.org?

A politically naive friend just sent me a link and asked my opinion. I clicked through without thinking and found myself in the middle of what looks like a total nutter site. She wants me to let her know what I think - I think it looks like a loony bin and I'm sort of afraid to dive into the muck. She respects my political advice (although I doubt she'll follow it) and I will reply to her soon, but wanted to know if anyone here knew about it, as it was a new one for me.

As I said, she doesn't know much about politics - she tends to take too much advice from her RW Republican family - and I need to (gently) point her in the correct direction without being too dogmatic. I have a "teachable moment" here and want to use it well. I'll put a response together after I get back from dinner with the family tonight.
