Dana Perino says bush has never asked anyone to lie for him
as dana "fired back" at scotty mcclellan, per faux radio news. So dana lies to protect her lying boss. But dana lying is a conservative value. Why do you all hide the pride (another conservative value)? If it weren't for lies how could the bush administration have an agenda?

In a new book to be released in April, lil scotty gets in touch with his liberal and rational side and admits, yeah I lied (but I didn't know it.) Incredible. Lying surely was a prerequisite for getting the job of press whore for dubya.

38. HOW can she KNOW this if she's not been around him every second of the day!
for his entire administration! She CAN'T! Therefore it is obvious what just said is a LIE on that basis alone! Therefore what she said is totally MEANINGLESS!

Then he throws a tantrum. Then he threatens. Then he gets what he wants.

That was my thought as well
Bush just tells them to lie for him, "I'm the president, you will say this for me or we'll send the rest of your family to Iraq."

13. It's all about playing with the language with these assholes.
I wasn't even kidding. I'm sure she felt she is telling the truth when she said "George Bush never asked anyone to lie for him." He TOLD them to. He didn't ask. Therefore, she is telling the truth.

16. It is easy for W to get out of this....
... he won't even have to get out of his chair.

He just claims that what he told McClellan was the truth as he knew it but obviously Libby was lying about his non-involvement and W believed him.

Unless that statement can be proven false W remains in the clear and McClellan's claim remains unsubstantiated.

22. Easy to parse
Bush has indeed never asked anyone to lie for him. Here's how it goes down:

Press Secretary: Boss, the zoo is getting restless, asking a lot of questions about Scooter Libby. As you know, that all went down before I got here.

President (looking up with an expression of annoyance/disgust from his GameBoy): Yeah?

PS (nervously): Well, what should I tell them?

P (hitting "pause" button with no little exasperation): Just tell them that we're looking into it.

PS: I kind of said that yesterday. Any developments?

P: No! And we don't know anything more about it. Begone! (Turns full presidential attention back to level 9 of GameBoy)

***

See? The press secretary was never told to lie, he just wasn't told the truth to pass along. And, smart boy that the press secretary is, he knew not to ask too many questions about what was an obvious line of bullshit. So he trots out to the press room, says nobody knows nothin' which the press dutifully reports without so much as an implied raised eyebrow of skepticism/suspicion, and everyone goes on his or her merry way.

Years later, the press secretary's conscience finally eats away enough of his soul that he feels he has to come clean. The public, which knew this all along, rolls its collective eyes. The media, which colluded in the lies in real time, pretends to be sort of, well, shocked isn't the right word. Let's just say some tut-tutting is done. And the White House? "We never asked anyone to lie."

End of story.

Until Dana's conscience makes an appetizer of her shrunken little soul. Then we do it all again.

Lies, deceit, exaggeration and distortion. They have no problem with any of it. They have been doing it for years. And they continue to deceive at will. Just tune in to OxyRush at any time and you will hear him in full propaganda mode ... if you have the stomach for it.

33. Ah, Dana the phrase, "... large quanities of uranium from Africa."
That would have been a lie. The CIA told bush it was a lie too.

And from those lies

3,800 Americans Dead
37,000 wounded, hurt, ill, or mental problems (air lifted out of Iraq)
1,100,000 Dead Iraqis
2 million have Iraqis have left the country
2 million have left their homes inside of Iraq
8 million Iraqis without food, water, medicine, and power

those are WW II type numbers.

And by the way why did they out V. Plame? so as to keep the lies that started this
mess going.

40. George W. Bush has made a career and a lifetime out of..
asking people to lie for him. We can trace it all way back to college at least. Remember his former fiance who was paid a tidy sum to keep her mouth shut? Remember the cocaine and alcohol issues? Remember the National Guard "service" or lack thereof? Remember the illegal insider stock trading at Harken Energy? George Bush's life is one big lie, he didn't just start this, he just escalated it to the point that he brought our entire nation into an illegal war. What is it going to take to stop this man? What is it going to take for people to stop lying for him?

51. I sort of believe that's true
In the sense that Bush, never having experienced life outside the bubble, instructs his minions in whatever dreamland fantasy the neocons have put in there.

I don't think he ever gave a speech that Cheney (or his acolytes) didn't vet first. And if there was a "problem" i.e. a talking point Shrubbolini didn't like, the usual lineup of stooges would be sent to the Oval Office to "explain" it to him.

Yeah, that's right, I don't believe for a second that the chimpan-czar has ANY clue what he's really talking about.

He's not even CLOSE to being the "mastermind" that a lot of people say he is.
