Perle is a real enigma... I couldn't really tell from the interview if Weisman had seemingly cracked the "veil" to expose his many secrets... Guess I'll have to buy the book...

I have a tight budget.

Political books seem to show up at the thrift stores after a few months anyway.

The last forty years of American political history are sure fascinating. Way better than sports or pop culture as a spectator thing.

Characters like Perle really are out there shaping things. In plain sight & behind the scenes at the same time.

Interesting that here was a staffer in Scoop Jackson's office that Henry Kissinger, Secretary of State, worried about.
