Does anyone REALLY think that Snotty McClellan's book is going to make
a damn bit of difference? If so, you're seriously deluded.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to my good friend Reality? Consider: bushyboy started a fucking WAR, and did so for NOTHING, folks, and almost five years later, has not been called to account for it.

Why, hell, he even got RE-ELECTED, when everybody already KNEW his reasons for starting that war were full of shit.

-A war just because he wanted to have one. -Ilegal wiretapping. -Allowing New Orleans to drown. -Alberto, uh, "I don't recall" his last name.

I could go on and on, but I won't. My point is that ALL of those things ran off him like water off a duck's back. So why would you think that THIS will make and difference?

2. They act like this is news.
Fuckwit was planning this war before he got selected in 2000. We all knew that. Seven wasted and tragic years later, he's still in office.

4. The rest will be milquetoast....
Perhaps it always was going to be, but certainly now that the pressure is on...We'll probably start to hear shortly how Scotty's own words have been misconstrued as the thumbscrews tighten.

5. No. John Dean did say they should persue it, but it won't make a
hill of beans, because there's always the 'I don't remember' aspect, which apparently works.

6. it won't but it is funny to watch their storyline just explode in their face
If you want some fun watch how the trumpcard excuse of the MSM Rove exposes himself to be pretty much what you saw the first time you sized him up- a creampuff softboy. The media used him as the coverall excuse for all of their groupthink and laziness and corporate neglect now he is writing or at least has a byline and now WE are going to see how he is a creation of himself and of the media to cover themselves.

Oh and as was pointed out here today-running a campaign (Rudy) from within the journalistic circles is perfect cover.

ri Fleischer’s Freedom’s Watch Involved In ‘Marketing Sessions’ To ‘Sell’ Iran War

fleischer225.jpgIn September, the New York Times reported that the White House front group Freedom’s Watch, led by former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, was considering a “national advertising campaign” to make the case for war with Iran, claiming that “Iran poses a direct threat” to U.S. security. Previously, Freedom’s Watch doled out $15 million to flack for the Iraq escalation.

While 63 percent of Americans oppose to military action in Iran, Freedom’s Watch apparently believes it can coax the public into another war. Laura Rozen reports that Freedom’s Watch is involved in test-marketing “language” to sell war with Iran. Laura Sonnemark, an attendee of the sessions, describes her experience:

After joining a half dozen other women in a conference room, she found, to her surprise, that she had been called in to help some of the country’s most prominent hawks test-market language that could be used to sell a war against Iran to the American public. <…>

“He was asking questions about Ahmadinejad going to speak at Columbia University, how terrible it was that he was able to go to Columbia and was invited,” Sonnemark says. “And he used lots of catch phrases, like ‘victory’ and ‘failure is not an option.’” <…>

“After two hours, asked three final questions,” Sonnemark recalls: “How would you feel if Hillary bombed Iran? How would you feel if George Bush bombed Iran? And how would you feel if Israel bombed Iran?”

While the focus group was commissioned by another organization, Freedom’s Watch reportedly “shared information” produced by the session.

In the next step of their PR campaign, the Freedom’s Watch announced a redesigned website yesterday, complete with a new blog, “guest posts by prominent conservative figures,” and ways for visitors to be “heard directly by their members of Congress.” In an e-mail blast to supporters today, President Bradley Blakeman states, “our efforts have just begun.”

These attempts to sell war with Iran smack of the White House’s efforts to sell the Iraq war. In August 2002, Karl Rove chaired the White House Iraq Group, whose mission was to “develop a strategy for publicizing the White House’s assertion that Saddam Hussein posed a threat to the United States.” At the same time, Fleischer was propagating these false assertions to the public.

As a founding member of Freedom’s Watch, it is no surprise Fleischer is importing his White House propaganda tactics for war with Iran.

8. It would only make a difference ...
if someone in authority, such as a Congressman or a Senator or an Attorney-General, decided it made a difference and investigated it. If nobody cares, it doesn't make a difference what laws are broken or what impeachable offenses are committed.

10. sadly
my wife and I just had that exact conversation - for the jillionth time

I got some pictures submitted by a visitor to my Zeitlangers website to fill in some blanks in the early days of the war - a 19-year-old kid who died SIX YEARS ago.

Sad story - troubled kid - at the time the story was he'd shot himself; people disbelieved it, but I have not seen any followup.

Giovanny was the eighth military fatality in the "war on terror," just 2-1/2 months after 9/11. Now six years later we have 4343 total fatalities, bin Laden is still free, Al Queda is as strong as ever, much of the world hates us. Giovanny's death was a waste. Some of the others in the early days of rousting Al Queda from its strongholds in Afghanistan weren't a waste - they were actually "taking it to them" in response to the attack. But that didn't last long, and the gains were given back, making their sacrifices be of less value.

SIX YEARS! Six years of this travesty, of lying, cheating, slandering, philandering, torturing, and the public just keeps rolling over and saying do it again. We are ALL batterred wives.

11. Votes
I think the continuous drip-drip-drip of slime will gain or cause to stay home more and more Republican voters. People forget that Republican scandals/corruption played a big role in the 2004 Democratic victory.

12. No, look at the timing of this "leak".
The Wilsons are out promoting their book, McClellan's isn't due out until next April and this is the tidbit that gets released? It looks like a pre-publication bit of hype and lets see who falls for it. Dodd already has, and the rest of the candidates will be asked to comment. Its a flaming bag of dog crap left on the porch waiting for someone to stomp on it.
