So now Tweety is acting like HE has been on the right side of the Plame issue
all along by lumping himself in with Schuster.
Sickening.
You know what Chris? You had a very public platform that YOU could have made a difference in this country. Instead, you chose to protect your Georgetown lifestyle and Washington insider status and SIT on the story instead of shouting it from the rooftops.
You, sir, simply SUCK!

2. Well, he WAS. He's good friends with the Wilson's, FWIW.
Why do you think he got that great, personal, beyond friendly interview with Valerie?

He was the one that made it clear to Joe that the shit was coming from KARL.

It's not up to Chris to "make a difference" in the country.

It's up to him to do what he's paid to do.

It isn't HIS show--it's GE's. GE, We Bring Good Wars To Life.

I find it amusing how people have expectations of talking heads, like they're heroes or partisans. They aren't--they're talking heads, looking for a payday and they'll sell their souls to the highest bidder. They are hired because of their knowledge, but if the boss wants them to slant, they'll slant. Ka-ching! They do what they are told, or they leave if they're sickened by the requests.

And don't give me "Well, Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeith doesn't do it!!!" He's an exception that proves the rule--his contract started out as totally temporary, because Jerry Nachman was dying, and he made a private deal with Dick Ebersol that he could do whatever the hell he wanted--and then, gee-whiz, the thing took off.

His contract is NOT like the others, and it gives NBC-GE a place to point amd a way to say "Uh-uh" when folks say "Geez, you're really pushing that pro-war bullshit, aren't you?"

Don't absolutely depend on a big tee vee head for anything but intros to footage. And even the footage can be edited and manipulated. Retain that jaundiced eye.

4. He, like most of the media, ignored the story until it wasn't possible to ignore it
anymore.
Regardless...he is ACTING like he has been on the story like shit on stink--and he hasn't.
I believe that was my comment, wasn't it?

8. He was a big PART of the story. There would BE no story if he hadn't called Joe
and said "Hey, Karl Rove says that Valerie is fair game."

He HAS been on the story since Day One--because Day One started with his phone call.

And he was in the midst of that ongoing legal business as well.

You DO realize that he doesn't have full creative control over his show's content???

That is the point I was making.
