An unnecessary death. We really need Universal Health Care
A guy named Rick Frazier, a former football coach in the Arena Football League as well as in AF2, my hometown QC Steamwheelers, died at age 53. Doctors said that if he had sought treatment earlier, his life would have been saved. The cause of death turned out to be complications from an infection he got while fishing. But since he was out of coaching, he had no health insurance and could not afford to see a doctor. This is a text book example of why we must have Universal Health Care in this country. For further details on this story, go to www.qctimes.com. It's in the sports section. Truly sad and totally unnecessary.

1. My daughter watched Sicko yesterday. She is a-political but she
came away from this documentary dedicated to work for single payer universal health care. Now that it is out on DVD hopefully more will be waking up. I suspect that all of us have someone we know who is without health insurance of one kind or another. I know our family has several.

3. You're welcome
And thanks for the K and R. I was a season ticket holder with the 'Wheelers for a while and got to know him a bit. Real nice guy who always had time for the fans.
