That is what the Iraq "war' is costing every single American. This war, in addition too paying for itself, according to the "Decider in Chief", was suppose to bring us cheap oil. That was bu$hit. Hey FReeps, what say you?

Get the hell out of southern calif and find some place I could handle living in with some sort of a community with people that cared and were liberals . If such a place still exists in the good old US of A . Somewhere where my wife amd I and our cats could live out what's left of our days in peace and from the madness .

12. Well I guess we all agree we could better spend this amount on something else than blowing up
innocent people who never meant us any harm. 3.5 trillion in the end would go far toward peace and prosperity here and abroad. Thanks so much you values voters And you one pay check away from the poor house repugs! You are truly American :patriot: :sarcasm: I want to :puke:

If the Dems put on this years Tax form a box to check if your willing to pay 20 K in Taxes to support the war. What fun to watch all the Republicans not pay the extra tax to support the war:)

15. Here's the rub.. it's NOT an "extra" $20K.
If we did not have to pay it, we would still have just the same amount we have right now.. It's like taking a cash advance that we will have to pay back ANYWAY (and cannot afford), and deciding what to DO with that $20K..Amart people would cancel the whole advance, pay a boo-boo cash advance fee, and say "whew. that was a close call"..

Everyone who would just blow the $20K of future indebtedness, on plastic crap & more consumer goods, is in just a big of a jam :)

25. ...
 For the record, I never thought any of us would spend it on plastic crap or consumer goods. I figured because of bu$hco, inc, we would be forced to spend it on food, housing and gas. The rich have it made.

It's not an extra $20,000. It's $20,000 taken out of the pockets of us and our
children that we would like returned to us (and never will be).

22. First it would pay medical bills for an unexpected trip to the ER
Then it would cover the cost of moving back home to take care of my 86 y/o parents. After that I'd spend the rest doing repairs on their 100 y/o house. It doesn't take a brain trust to figure out where my priorities lie.

27. A nice balcony/screen porch below, on the back of my house....
I'm sure 15k of that would go to giving some local construction folks a job, not to mention the local suppliers for the materials, my contractor would probably clear 5k, and move on to other jobs, that will again support the local economy...nice thoughts in my peaceful world :D
