Giuliani could now be forced to testify in Kerik Case, due to FOX favoritism, Judith Regan Lawsuit
Edited on Tue Nov-13-07 08:41 PM by Dems Will Win

Giuliani was the protected one by New Corp, as charged by Judith Regan today in a new #100 million lawsuit! Only Rudy was handing out tax breaks and carrying water for Ailes and Murdoch in a cable case. And News Corp, probably Ailes on behalf of Murdoch, forced Regan to be quiet on her affair with Kerik to try and protect Rudy for President.

Besides Keith having a field day with this, we now will certainly have the spectacle of Giuliani testifying about his close ties to Fox News, the defendant in the Regan 70-page suit. Here is the full 70 page complaint. See if you can find where Rudy could be brought in for questions:

http://www.portfolio.com/images/site/editorial/pdf/regancomplaint.pdf

Here is the juicy part:

This action arises from a deliberate smear campaign orchestrated by one of the
world’s largest media conglomerates for the sole purpose of destroying one woman’s credibility
and reputation. This smear campaign was necessary to advance News Corp.’s political agenda,
which has long centered on protecting Rudy Giuliani’s presidential ambitions.

2. It is now widely accepted that one of Giuliani’s major political vulnerabilities is his
association with Bernard Kerik, the former NYC Police Commissioner and member of Giuliani
Partners who was recently indicted on federal charges of tax fraud and corruption. Defendants
were well aware that Regan had a personal relationship with Kerik. In fact, a senior executive in
the News Corp. organization told Regan that he believed she had information about Kerik that, if
disclosed, would harm Giuliani’s presidential campaign. This executive advised Regan to lie to,
and to withhold information from, investigators concerning Kerik. Indeed, another News Corp.
executive similarly advised Regan not to produce clearly relevant documents in connection with
the government’s investigation of Kerik. Thus, because of the damaging information that
defendants believed Regan possessed, defendants knew they would be protecting Giuliani if they
could preemptively discredit her.

The Columbia Journalism Review reported that during New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's first term "News Corp. received a $20.7 million tax break for the mid-Manhattan office building that houses the Post, Fox News Channel, TV Guide and other operations. During Giuliani's 1997 reelection campaign, News Corp. was also angling for hefty city tax breaks and other incentives to set up a new printing plant in New York City. Most dramatically, Giuliani jumped in to aggressively champion News Corp. when it battled Time Warner over a slot for the Fox News Channel on Time Warner's local cable system.

http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2004/07/b122948.html

American Progress also notes that Murdoch's New York Post had a "perfect four-year streak" of not one critical editorial of the Giuliani adminstration during Rudy's first four years in office, and this fawning coverage has of course continued on Fox News with Rudy's current presidential bid.

But according to Regan, the News Corporation has gone beyond mere biased coverage of Giuliani. It has put the pressure on any employee who might say something negative about Rudy, and has urged them to break the law if necessary. Regan's complaint notes that "a senior executive in the News Corporation organization told Regan that he believed she had information about Kerik that, if disclosed, would harm Giuliani’s presidential campaign. This executive advised Regan to lie to, and to withhold information from, investigators concerning Kerik."

Regan claims that the News Corporation took such drastic actions because it "wanted to protect the presidential aspirations" of Giuliani. One of her lawyers claims that Regan "possesses evidence to support her claim that she was advised (by News Corp. officials) to lie to federal investigators who were vetting Mr. Kerik."

Regan is clearly not slinking away quietly.

4. has any TV outlet besides Olbermann mentioned this, or are they
too busy obsessing over Hillary's plant, Edwards' crankiness, Obama's black/whiteness, etc?

what percentage of election coverage goes to the dems? and what percentage of that is negative?

I saw ten minutes of HARD Hillary bashing on Matthews' show today, (a 'news roundup discussion' with Chuck Henry, David Gregory, and some horrid woman, who just HOWLED, literally over the prospect of Hillary's campaign) followed by perhaps three minutes' discussion of what a nice guy Fred Thompson was, how he didn't have the fire in the belly, etc.

don't look for much coverage of this. when, if ever, are dems going to start talking about the massive corruption that is at the heart of Rudy Giuliani's character. or are they just keeping their powder dry til after he gets the nomination? or until after he wins the election?

2. Once that oath or affirmation is given, Giuliani is in BIG TROUBLE...
It will settle over him like a dark cloud, and in the distance he will be able to hear the creaking of the jail cell door closing behind him.

Take a chance... tell a lie... get caught... go to jail.

THat is quite possible.

11. This could become a Federal Case.
One of her lawyers claims that Regan "possesses evidence to support her claim that she was advised (by News Corp. officials) to lie to federal investigators who were vetting Mr. Kerik."

That would be Obstruction of Justice.

So PIRRO recruited Bernie on the principle that it takes a philanderer to catch a philanderer? Plus, MSRNC just relayed this story, labelling Bernie as "9-11 HERO"!!!1 I've always wondered what exactly Bernie (and Rudy) did that was "heroic"!!!1

*******QUOTE*******

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/27/AR2006092701378.html

.... ...Pirro was overheard by authorities having a telephone conversation with former New York City Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik in the middle of last year. They said that Pirro suspected her husband, Albert Pirro, might be having an affair and that she and Kerik, a private security consultant, discussed possibly placing a recorder in a room to listen in on him.

The two people said that the recording device was never used and that a Kerik investigation turned up no firm evidence of an affair. Kerik's attorney declined to comment on the case.

Pirro said Kerik was a friend and confirmed that they had spoken about her marital concerns. ....

********UNQUOTE*******

So here's a fond look at what Bernie was doing on 9-11 (stepping out of the shower), and his blast from the past, Judith REGAN. A couple of her men (the last graphic being an abstract of LIMBOsevic, since she published the first (two?) of his books, ghost-written (the 1st, at least) by alleged assaulter John FUND):

*********QUOTE********

http://newyorkmetro.com/nymetro/news/media/columns/medialife/152/

.... Then Judith and Rupert found each other -- and ReganBooks was born. Not only did their commercial instincts mesh, but Judy's what's-the-world-ever-done-for-me politics were highly compatible with the Murdoch view.

And then the sex part. It's a one-woman show.

I have never heard anyone talk about sex the way Judy does. I have never heard anyone talk about their sexual partners the way Judy does. I have never heard anyone analyze individual motivations, the workings of the marketplace, and politics, too, in such precisely sexual terms. The other day, on her show, she kept interrupting her tempered guests on the subject of why women like Bill Clinton, and, voice rising, saying: "They want to have sex with him -- that's why they like him!"

Early in her career at Simon & Schuster, she published a book called The Rogue Warrior and fought tooth and nail for a full-face cover photo of the author. "Don't they understand?" she stormed to me. "Women will buy this because they want to fuck him!" She got the full face and a best-seller.

http://www.zianet.com/insightanalytical/newlow.htm (by DUer Gloria: )

Regan looked straight into the camera and for almost 10 minutes, delivered a pseudo stream-of-consciousness poetry riff mocking Clinton. Referring to his sad boyhood, she mocked his loneliness, then proclaimed that he built himself up and called himself KING, because "I am rich and I can do what I want!" She likened him to the cast out Socks, and envisioned him an old man meeting up with Socks at 125th street, both holding tin cups. ....

It was incredibly vicious. What was especially appalling was how she took the most painful aspects of Bill's background--his truly grievous childhood--and twisted them, using them to mock him. If this wasn't the "politics of personal destruction" I don't know how else you could describe this horrific display. ....

**********UNQUOTE***********

And I (the poster) will claim credit for insight. Back when KERIK's book for REGAN was debutting, she hosted him on her Faux interview show. His tale was of his missing mother, who inexplicably abandoned him as a tot. She never showed up for a custody hearing. The premise of the book was that this tough uber-male had this hole in his heart, thereby setting the pants on fire of tough wingnuts of all genders. As she probed him about the book, she and KERIK locked smouldering,WILD WINGNUT HOT gazes. Once the mother-thing was done, she moved on to his heroics (which were what?) on 9-11. She asked WHERE HE WAS when the planes hit. Without missing a WILD WINGNUT HOT eye-lock, he said, "Stepping out of the shower." She swallowed and held a long breath. The image of nekkid KERIK was plainly etched on the Faux camera lens during the LONG pause. He added, "In my office." Another LONG pause. He added, "After WORKING OUT." There was another swallow. I suspected BACK THEN that something was cooking between publisher and author, and it weren't spaghetti. Only 2 or 3 years later, when KERIK's many other past deeds floated to the surface like dead bodies did it become official that there was indeed WILD WINGNUT HOT LOVE between the two, that the two of them alternated their WILD WINGNUT HOT LOVE sessions with WORKING OUT together, that he had used NYPD to track down what happened to his mother, that he used NYPD to provide security for his personal WILD WINGNUT HOT LOVE sessions, that the WILD WINGNUT HOT LOVENEST was a city-paid apartment near the WTC intended as a rest site for rescue and recovery workers. The REGAN-KERIK Faux interview was pure musk in the air. Why don't Shrub's handlers hire some of US for intelligence work?

16. Judy, Judy, Judy. . . So was this affair

with Kerik before or after she married Giuliani? It sounds like it was after.

Since he believes in always having a mistress, I suppose it's fair, but I wonder how he feels about his wives stepping out?

17. No, no. Judy NATHAN is GHOULiani's ex-mistress & current wife. Judith REGAN is KERIK's ex-mistress &
publisher. But with a cast of thousands, a playbill is certainly useful.

assume they have messed up by forgetting that a woman scorned is nothing one should ignore, but they have ways to silence the messenger, we shall see what becomes of this since he is their first choice and they don't give up easily.
