Ok the dollar really is in the tank

I just got one of those ludricrious Nigerian scam emails and instead of $5,000,000 it is 5,000,000 Euros. It really has gotten bad when they think the dollar has sunk that low.

8. They've gotten real sneaky

Recently I got an email from "Koffi Annan's sister" :rofl:

However, be careful of a couple of online scams...one that nearly bit me. First is the one that looks like its from Paypal or some other creditor that says your account has been frozen and you need to fill out information. The red flag is when they ask for an SSI number (only known to me and my tax accountant).

Another one that hit me and several others was getting a Fed Ex mailer addressed personally to me. Inside were several $2,000 "Walmart Money Orders". They sure look legit and the letter asks you to go and redeem these certificates and await further word. Sure looks tempting to someone who rarely sees that kind of money and the certificates look legit. I smelled a rat by looking closely at the certificate and then called both the Secretary of State and the BBB...and sure enough, the certificates were bogus. Had I tried to redeem them, good chance the Walmart employee would tip off the local cops and I'd be making little ones out of big ones.
