Does everyone realize how much everyone in Louisiana laughed at Webb's

talking about he and the federal government "restoring the vitality of New Orleans." I saw it in the leaks, but still laughed when I heard him say it.

1. ? I understood him to say he would work with the federal govt.
to restore the vitality etc. Not that he and the fed govt. had already restored the vitality etc.

What is the problem with that?

7. So you don't believe that Sen. Webb will work to change that?
Is he lying?

Or is it that you think any/everything he can do will result in nothing?

11. I don't think he or America cares

they never have, there is no reason to think they ever will.

I was just pointing out there was collective laughter when he said it.

3. Kucinich has been named the commitee Chair overseeing Katrina.
I believe that he has what it takes to get something done. Waxman has indicated that investigations are underway. Have faith. Give them a chance.

15. I'm sorry to hear that but I can't say I would expect your attitude to be more positive.
It's hard to imagine what it would feel like to live somewhere that's such an outsider to the rest of the country right now and to be disappointed so many times that you don't get disappointed anymore.

As a sidenote, I would bet the wisdom you've gained from such an experience could provide some sort of benefit to others someday.

he said that they hoped the administration was serious about some things including "restoring the vitality of New Orleans."

Said that the Democratic party considers it a priority.

That made me laugh.

12. You haven't changed, RG,

You're still thriving on discord and in fighting.

No, I haven't forgotten
" I don't want to drink with you"

I wish I could.
