Oh, goody. Dennis Miller returns to network TV with "Amnesia" game show

Dennis Miller is returning to NBC, inking a deal to host the net's new Mark Burnett-produced quizzer "Amnesia."

Skein is a comedy-based gameshow in which contestants win money by answering questions about themselves. It's scheduled to bow later this season.

"He's quick on his feet and has a great way of bringing out the comedic elements" in "Amnesia," said NBC alternative programming topper Craig Plestis.

Miller said the skein plays to his strengths as a host.

"It's a comedy first that just happens to be wrapped in a gameshow package, and that allows me to be who I am," he said.

Bob Barker somehow managed to be a hyper-lib-rul without offending the Murkins. But he's Bob Barker and there is only one.

They tried so many spinoffs of that thing, night time syndicated etc -- they tried a soap opera guy and another veteran "quiz master" type guy, but that show is Mr. Barker IMO....

And btw BillO could have used a page from his book, remember how he was flapping his gums about "fighting" his sexual harassment suit and ended up totally caving, Barker just totally fessed up, called himself "an old fool" and Dianne got NADA. ZILCH! Of course, BillO is guilty of sexual harassment so it would have been harder for him to carry that off.

Ever since he left HBO I lost all interest in him and his recent comedy special was more of a horror flick than anything else. I guess he can do infomercials. One look at his face I would be hoping for a nightmare so I can get some sleep!!
