17. OK Now Hoyer is in a box (of his own making I might point out)....
Motion to table by Hoyer has now failed.

Motion to refer to committee by Hoyer is being voted on.

However, now you have to wonder if vote totals will be the same as vote on motion to table.

If the motion to commit fails, Hoyer would be put in a position to defend his attempt to keep the Resolution by his own party member from being debated and voted on.

Repubs are obviously going to use this to claim Dems are more interested in politics than getting things done in the House.

Kind of a "put up or shut up" moment for DEMS.

21. I would sure
like to think that it backfires on Hoyer, and then enough rank and file Republics pressure their Reps to go forward with this impeachment. It would probably help the Republics for their reelection if they impeached Cheney and make the Dem's look like shit for not doing it themselves.

27. And this is a problem for what reason?
Dennis Kucinich, put HR333 out there as an honest attempt to hold our Vice President accountable for all of his illegal actions. Win or lose, he fought the good fight. Sure the impeachment will likely be put down, but in the end, it's respect++ for Kucinich.

Pelosi, Hoyer, and the rest of the establishment tried to sweep this under the rug, despite an enormous groundswell of support from the people. The tabling vote was a selfish power play to maintain the status quo and maintain the corruption, and you know what, it blew up in their faces.

So gnash your teeth all you want about the Democrat's latest humiliation. You know what? They deserve it. They had the chance to do the right thing, and instead they went for petty power plays.

32. OH MY.... if the Mtn to Commit to Committee Fails there will be an IMMEDIATE Hr of Debate...
THis is going to force the DEMS hands on the issue of impeachment.

ARE they going to say they think CHeney should NOT be impeached?

ARE they going to argue WITH Repubs that CHENEY should not be impeached?

AND GET THIS --- the time will be evenly split between KUCHINICH and BOTH OTHER PARTIES.

OH MY!
