Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto promised that she will lead on Friday a major protest rally in Rawalpindi, the garrison city situated next to Islamabad.
Ms. Bhutto said that she will come to Pakistan on Tuesday. She said: “We decided this would be a protest meeting where we would protest the imposition of military rule. This protest movement will continue until the Constitution is restored,” the New York Times reports.
The move was made by Musharraf to block the Supreme Court invalidate his re-election by Parliament as president because he maintained his military status. He dismissed all 17 judges and since then only 9 new judges took oath, four of them on Tuesday.
