It is snowing with thunder and lightning.
It is freaky. I'm in the snowbelt of Lake Erie and this is our first snowfall this year.

1. Thundersnow is so cool,
I haven't experienced that for fifteen-twenty years. Enjoy this, it's something you can tell your grandkids. Just hope you don't get a tornado that can come with it.

3. That does happen once in awhile.
It is strange, but not that uncommon.

Enjoy your winter. We are finally getting some cold weather in Northern Illinois, too. We may have flurries mid-week. It certainly took long enough. Weather in the high seventies or even eighties was the occurring here, even a week ago.

8. Well, you do seem to routinely post deliberately offensive and/or provocative stuff.
Generally speaking, 1) Democrats and other sensible people
believe that human efforts are responsible for a large
portion of global warming, and 2) no one here until you
made any connectionbetween thundersnows and global warming.

10. I do, do I?
That is ridiculously funny.

What makes it really funny, is the fact that I have a Master's in Physical Oceanography from ODU and I will be the last person to deny the mechanisms (human and otherwise) that drive global warming. My posting record on that topic here on this forum indicates the same.

So, in short, you seem to have a hard time reading sarcasm when it's staring you right in the face and you can take your armchair assessment of my history on DU and cram it right up your fourth point of contact.

In fact, it's just the way you routinely behave here.

35. Yeah...I can't complain.
Housework is starting to pile up. My wife is 4-months into her second pregnancy, so she's starting to milk that for everything it's worth. lol

But, we're both looking forward to the holiday season and we're also planning a 3-week caravan trip out to Montana next summer. That'll be the first vacation either of us have had in over 3 years.

I was at total whiny baby when I was pregnant.

Vacations are important. Make sure you take some without the kids once in a while too. It's important!

I remember visiting Montana when I was a kid. It has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Western Montana and northern Idaho my second home. I make custom fly rods, and next year I'm turning one for my then-to-be 3.5 year old son so I can teach him on those absolutely beautiful rivers.

I would seriously trade you three of your snow belt winters for just one of my north Texas summers.

I can barely imagine a snow and lightning at the same time.

34. Snow, lightening and thunder that sounds like explosions
Also the snow tends to be extreme white out snow. The kind your wipers can't keep up with. Nasty stuff.

2 Years ago I experienced it for the first time ( that I could remember) and I seriously thought something VERY bad was happening. It was frightening until I found out what it was.
