On Tuesday, cable's MSNBC, which is, among other things, the home of Keith Olbermann's pugnaciously liberal news-talk program, was stripped of its position on Channel 47 of Comcast's basic cable tier and exiled waaaay up to 128 on the digital tier.

Meanwhile, the conservative Fox News Channel continues to scorn liberals on Channel 48, within smirking distance of CNBC (46), both CNN channels (44 and 45) and the locals-only Northwest Cable News on 49. The current residents of Channel 47? That would be the completely apolitical Weather Channel <snip>
