This is from the link to the magazine, Jezebel:
We were brought into the convo when we covered the Obama girl video and said that he has "The Elusive Slutty Anxious Female Demographic" behind him. First of all, like, duh, it's a joke...kinda. But secondly, we don't really sling around the term "slutty" as an insult around these parts. It's more of a qualifier. Oh, and also, some of us actually are slutty (and proud of it!), but none of us, regardless of who we're gonna vote for, are stupid.
Hey, CNN, the magazine was JOKING. Females were joking about perceptions created, frankly, by people too ridiculous to warrant serious attention.
Maybe you didn't get it because Ann Coulter, Lynn Cheney or Michelle Malkin are, strangely, considered worthy sources of information and commentary. (psss, wanna know why females do not, overwhelmingly vote Republican? Because we're NOT stupid.)
See, among ourselves, females will talk to each other in ways we won't talk to others. Like "locker room" talk that everyone knows happens. You don't know that also happens with females?? You can't tell the difference between a joke and reality? I guess not, when Ann Coulter is considered a viable news program guest.
If this is what passes for journalistic credibility on CNN...
To make things worse, CNN had a film clip from Working Girl with Melanie Griffith and her trailer trash hairdo before she works her way through the b.s. and gets a good hair stylist (for women in film, a good haircut and conditioning symbolize sainthood or epiphany.)
I am really stunned that this little tidbit made it to one of the biggest tv news sources for the U.S. (and represents the U.S. to much of the world.) I think I need a little retail therapy. (btw, that's also a joke.)
