Next time Tim Russert asks about a candidates favorite Bible verse
Here is how they should answer:

I never told my own religion nor scrutinized that of another. I never attempted to make a convert, nor wished to change another's creed. For it is in our lives, and not from our words, that our religion must be judged

Thomas Jefferson

1. Fuck Tim Russart and Fuck the Media
I do NOT want to hear about someone's religion..
All I want to hear
1. How they are going to end the war and get our soldiars home.
2. They will doggedly pursue and prosecute any Treasonous acts by this current administration.
3. Restore the balance between the President, Congress and the Courts.
4. Purge any unqualified hacks that are in governmental positions.
5. Work on improving America's image in the World.

Sigh...I could go on but I don't want to hear about their religion.

2. I want to hear other Bible verses used in response to the verses candidates use.
How would candidates feel about the cherry-picked quotes of someone else's pickin'?

3. They should answer him in Aramaic.
If he does not respond correctly they should call him a heretic.

6. They should answer this way:
Article VI, Paragraph 3 (or Book of Madison VI:3)

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

Amen

9. I just want to hear somebody respond with:
Edited on Fri Nov-02-07 09:56 PM by Gman
"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass."
