Also on Air Traffic controllers? There was an article here recently that said Bush* was going to start using more Executive Orders to get his way instead of going to Congress and it listed those two along with others as examples. I did not hear about either of them, has anyone else?

1. Good luck with anything to do with immigration on this site! |
|
I wonder where everybody is on this subject? Nobody is discussing it. There isn't even a topic forum on it here at DU!
The whole Spitzer thing should have prompted a serious discussion about immigration reform, especially the plans the various candidates have on the issue.
Say what you will about Hillary Clinton, at least she talked a little about why Spitzer has come forward with his proposal. But then she got all tangled up in her words and THAT became the issue.
Wouldn't it be helpful if SOMEONE came up with maybe an outline of a plan?

2. I think the issue that was being raised was Bush*'s use of Exective Orders |
|
I haven't heard about any of these Executive Orders either and am amazed at why I/we haven't..

3. "use" or "abuse"? My understanding is that every President has the power to issue |
|
Executive Orders. With BUsh's history, I'm sure his use of them amounts to "abuse."
