Big Brother horror show

The controversial reality show is in deeper water than ever, reports
mark paterson

The sight of a blind-drunk young woman being assaulted by a Big Brother housemate in what may be the most public rape ever has turned the stomachs of millions of television viewers.

The incident, broadcast live by a pay-TV conglomerate across Africa, has prompted denunciations from the continent's great and good. Viewers have flooded newspapers and internet message boards with emails expressing undiluted outrage.

Bezuidenhout then tried to strip one contestant before allegedly sexually assaulting Malokwu by inserting his fingers into her vagina. Malokwu appeared to be almost comatose during the alleged act.

While many viewers have voiced their disgust at what they witnessed, Bezuidenhout still seems to be the hot favourite to win the competition.

Viewers have expressed disgust after the alleged incident was broadcast live on air by pay-TV channel M-Net.

Many have complained to newspapers and voiced their anger on message boards.

But M-Net, which is an over-18s channel, says both housemates consented and the company has decided that it was not assault.

1. "The company" decided?
Gee, I thought the courts had some say in such matters. :sarcasm:
