Bush: ‘war on terror’ critics are ‘disingenuous or naive.’

Today in his speech at the Heritage Foundation, President Bush attacked critics of the term “war on terror,” saying that “people who deny we are at war are either being disingenuous or naive.” He added, “We are at war — and we cannot win this war by wishing it away or pretending it does not exist.” Watch it at link~

Yet in September, Bush’s own Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen banned the phrase “Global War on Terror” from “any future correspondence.” In 2004, Bush himself admitted:

We actually misnamed the war on terror, it ought to be the struggle against ideological extremists who do not believe in free societies who happen to use terror as a weapon to try to shake the conscience of the free world.

2. I watched part of this speech . . .
his tail-feathers were all a-flutter . . . he was in the company of other chicken-hawks all feigning false praise . . . he was in his element.

About 5 minutes was all I could take before I felt my breakfast coming up. . . .

3. Could anyone be more naive than the little boy king?
With his childish comic book notions of good and evil, his belief that god has selected him to bring democracy to the world, and his professed certainty that the ends justify the means. If he weren't so fuckin naive he would not have been such an easy sock puppet for rummy, cheney and the neo cons to control. He really has no idea wht is really going on in the world and how much of a sucker he is being played for by world leaders. But we all suffer for his naivete.

5. Ooooooh, "disingenuous"! My, what a big word for such a little man!
Did he mispronouncificate it as "disingenious" to make up for the "nucular" thing?

9. Back to naive, are we?
I got called that back in February 2003 for marching with folks who carried signs that said "No Blood For Oil." Well, I didn't believe it then, and I don't believe it now.

If you have a really good reason for this war, George, if you think there's some noble cause that you launched these invasions for, then why won't you meet with Cindy Sheehan and answer her simple, but nagging question?

10. I'm shocked!.....that he would attempt pronouncing a word like disingenuous.
His speech coach must be expecting a medal, probably a purple heart, for duty above and beyond human capabilities.
