On edit: here's the complete list of files available: http://www.paperlessarchives.com/alphabetical.html
I recall ordering the Albert Einstein FOIA files a while back. That's no doubt how I got on their mailing list (No Fly list too?)

1. Um...what about FOIA...?
The site wants money (60% off through 11/2/07)
...shouldn't these things be free through the Freedom of Information Act?
Or has that gone by the wayside as well?

3. AFAIK, the FOIA is still "on the books".
But even before this "Imperial Presidency", that was supposed to be a very lengthy process. And document charges, although nominal per page, could add up with a CD's load of documents. But NOW? Rotzaruck!

$10 a copy doesn't strike me as excessive, if one has a need/use for it. I have two disks (FBI files on Einstein and Hollywood), and they're strictly "no frills" --- no cover art, and no marking on the disks. But they play just fine on my computer. I'm almost tempted to go for the complete set.
