Colbert NOT running as a Republican.
He says the $35,000 application fee is more costly than a black market liver. Although I imagine they'd accept that in lieu of the cash. As long as the donor was kept alive on life support until they expired. Or until approved by Doctor Frist himself.

So this means Stephen Colbert is running as a Democrat.

1. Doesn't that invalidate the entire premise of his character? Or is he doing it seriously?

3. He's being fiscally responsible.
In a typical Republican knee-jerk way. :)

4. Yeah, like how ridiculous the whole concept of conservatism is.
Or the implied hypocrisy of having to have a thirty five grand ticket to join the "club", as he called it.

I love it.

5. Well for one thing, he is showing on his show what the political process
is like. For him. Don't see anyone else doing that but why not? He made GWB look like the idiot he is and got away with it. Like taking candy from a baby.

10. Alas! He lost the moral battle
when he first clutched that first bag of Doritos, saying, "Let the chips fall where they may!"
