Like Rain Man without the math skills: SNL skit on re-run.
Cheney and Bush in office. Bush says "People underestimate me." Cheney says "Like Rain Man without the math skills". I thought it was so funny I had to wake my husband up to tell him.

2. My son is autistic and he doesn't have math skills like "rainman."
I wish people would leave alone the ones who almost literally are unable to speak for themselves.

3. Sorry, if this thread offends you.
That wasn't the intention. Dustin Hoffman as Rain Man is well-recognized, and his signature blank stare is very similar to an expression often seen on Bush's face. What makes the quote humorous for me is that facial expression, specifically, and not the condition of autism, generally. Nevertheless, I appreciate your perspective, and it's always good to be reminded not to make light of things that may so profoundly impact the lives of many around us.

5. Hope no hard feelings. Nothing against autistic people, but lots against
*bush.
