" Why won't Hillary Clinton give a straight answer to the questions she's being asked?"
That's the question being asked on the 5:00PM (Eastern Time) Cafferty File on CNN.

If you have any ideas on the matter, you can email him.

1. It almost sounds like there's an assumption built right into the question.
Hmm.

3. Cafferty seemed to be going on the evidence presented
by Sen. Clinton herself last night.

You can write him and let him know what you're thinking.

2. Because she can't? She would lose votes if she said what she really thinks.
As John intimated, she is a closet Neocon. Hey Lieberman likes her for a reason.

5. Why do people demand black and white, simplistic answers when often the
truest answers have to be qualified, conditioned, and/or nuanced?

7. Ask Cafferty. He asked the question and could "read you" on air.
He didn't ask for a black/white response.

Sometimes lies also require nuance and non-commitment, so where are we now?

Hillary's answers are what you get from mature politicians. The world is not black and white and any thoughtful person is not going to answer in a simplified way. People can attack her all they want and call her names, but the next name she will be called is President Clinton.

12. Her advisors have told her not to answer any question directly. For example
when asked if she will end the war in Iraq, she responded that she "will work toward ending the war". Yes we know you will but in how many decades?? Rhetoric anyone? BushCorp is "working" to end the war. All candidates will "work" to end the war. She is the consummate politician. She has not committed herself to end the war, repair the damage to the Constitution, or repeal NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO, MCA, or the Patriot Act. What has she committed to???????

13. That's one of the big problems for her.

When I hear other credible Democratic presidential candidates give unequivocally answers to questions -- even if the issue itself is complicated -- it makes Clinton look bad when she does her word playing.

It makes her look like she is trying very hard not to pinned down. Sorry, but on many issues, I want a candidate pinned down on specifics.

14. Hillary won't give an unqualified if she can help it, on anything. She wants to reserve the right
to completely veer right if she sees what she perceives as an ostacle to her winning
the nomination. It may make for a good game of Dodgeball but does little
to instill a sense of confidence in the voter (or in this voter, I should say).

Oogy wuzza peepaah.

18. Good question.
My guess: he's running for president and "playing it safe."

I think it's a tradition for candidates already holding an office, done mostly on the advice of creepy, manipulative advisers.

I despise it.
