We have YET to see HIS papers as governor

or

Reagan's official papers (he LEFT office in 1989)

or Poppy's official papers (he left office in 1993)

so Hillary's FIRST LADY papers (not even an elected official) are a NON-ISSUE.. totally..

That said, I DO think that before ANYONE runs for president, IF they have been a CEO or an elected official , we ARE entitled to a full disclosure of EVERYTHING..

and I also think we NEED to see the papers of the departing administration (ALL OF THEM) as they leave office.. They work FOR US..and what they have done in our name deserves to be known ASAP, so we can quit making the same mistakes over and over and then claim "we didn't know"..

This business of keeping everything so secretive, until they are doddering old helpless people, is NUTS!! If you make presidential decisions, then you should have to face the results of those decisions..BEFORE you go out and make a bundle on a touchy-feely autobiography

1. On the contrary, I think the next president should immediately recind Bush's executive order...
that skirted the Presidential Records Act and allow full access to any and all relevant material from previous administrations.

That executive order was issued pre-9/11, and it was one of the first signs of the jackassery to come. Given that, Hillary's position on open access is relevant.

2. Not contrary to my point at all.. I want that order rescinded too
and go a step further.. I don't want ANY "waiting period" after an administration.. I want it to be automatic.. You are done- your papers get released..on Day ONE of the new admin.

but after that, yeah, release everything.

10. The world moves very quickly now,.we NEED access to what was done in our name
and we need it to be current..not decades old when we "find out"..

11. She is touting her experience in government as a reason she should be elected
I think that her papers SHOULD be released.

12. First Ladies "experiences" are pretty well documented
The health care fiasco surey was very public, and every trip she took, and every meeting she had was all over the news and in the papers.

It's not like she had secret meetings at Bohemian Grove..:)

and technically she did not have power to DO much of anything:)
