'Ghostbuster' fundraiser dies

A MAN died today after he was assaulted while dressed up as a Ghostbuster to raise cash for an amateur football team.

Gareth Davies, 26, was attacked in a car park in Cwmbran town centre, south Wales, in the early hours of Sunday.

He died of his injuries in hospital this afternoon.

Mr Davies, of Llangibby, south Wales, had been on a fundraising night out with friends when the assault happened.

Two men, aged 22, from the Cwmbran area, who were arrested in connection with the assault, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

3. We are becoming savages as our resources dry up.

That's my very simplistic take, anyway. Everyone is in it for themselves. We are losing our sense of community or perhaps it is that our sense of community is diminishing incredibly.

I once dated a man who said he doubted we would ever encounter other intelligent life that is as savage as we are. At the time, I thought he was very cynical. Now, I'm not so sure.
