FallenI added names to several this morning. No new pictures yet. The last one listed below is one of those ominous "no details" ones. Several like that have turned out to be self-inflicted. The suicide rate is double what it was a year ago.

Task Force Lightning Soldiers attacked, counter attack
Multi-National Division – North PAO
TIKRIT, Iraq – Task Force Lightning Soldiers were attacked while conducting combat operations in Diyala Province Feb. 14.
Three Task Force Lightning Soldiers were killed as a result of injuries sustained following explosions near their vehicles. A fourth Soldier later died of wounds at a Coalition medical facility.
Two other Soldiers were wounded and taken to a Coalition medical facility for treatment.
The names of the deceased U.S. Soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.

Insurgents target MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO
BAGHDAD – A Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldier died when insurgents targeted a combat patrol north of the Iraqi capital Feb. 13.
The patrol received small arms fire while providing security around an improvised explosive device they discovered during a combat patrol, wounding one Soldier. The Soldier later died of wounds sustained from the attack Feb. 14.
During this combat patrol, Soldiers from this unit successfully located and disposed of a roadside bomb and found a small cache, adding to the seven improvised explosive devices and four caches found earlier this month.
The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Task Force Lightning Soldier dies in non-combat related incident

TIKRIT, Iraq – A Task Force Lightning Soldier died Tuesday in a non-combated related incident, which is currently under investigation.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
