Wow. Mad TV portraying Cat Stevens as a terrorist.
They did a nice three or four minute piece changing around all of his songs to terrorist anthems. Peace Train, of all songs, became "Piece of a Train."

Yeah. Well done, Fox. Way to propagandize. Way to set up that "other" and get him good.

2. They have had good stuff in the past, but
there have ALWAYS been skits that sounded as if they were written by Murdoch himself. Those pieces couldn't be more transparent.

4. I just saw that.
I had to change the channel. It was so -- 40's Berlin. So -- sick. On nationwide television.

I never watch Mad TV, just an accidental flip through after watching a DVD. But man. What crap. What idiocy.

The stuff before it was flat and crappish as well, now that I think about it.

11. They are satirizing a true incident involving Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam) that happened 3 years ago

12. Whoah, wow, wait a minute... you all must not know.
In September, 2004 Cat Stevens was denied entry to the U. S. when he was traveling here. This was all based on the fact that he had converted to Islam and changed his name to Yusuf Islam.

The Mad TV thing was just a SPOOF, basically ridiculing the U. S. for it's policies and action against Cat Stevens. I'm surprised no one remembers this. Anyway, here is the original BBC report of the incident.

15. I really don't think that was what was going on.
It occurred to me that he had been denied entry, and maybe they were making fun of the U.S. for doing that.

They weren't. They were going after Cat, not the U.S.

14. When I hear his recording of hs song, "How Can I Tell You" from
TEASER AND THE FIRECAT, the word "terrorist" is not the first word that springs to mind.

Sounds like FOX is up to its old tricks.
