Things looking up for McCain: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071027/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_second_look;_ylt=AmGHsFp7bDMMNH4n6VgYD8is0NUE

I won't post snips because it is absolute pro-McCain fellation, but you can look at it for yourself (if you can stomach it).

Here we have a candidate that objectively has no funding, no perceivable polling changes, and no real party support. He is barely considered a second tier candidate in the Repuke primary. What exactly does he have going for him? He's a media darling. The media gobbles up his "straight talking maverick" bullshit and look for any infinitesimal chance to give him good press.

This kind of stuff really pisses me off. Not for the fact that the media is giving press to a lower tier candidate, but for the fact that Democrats don't receive the same benefit. We've been told the Democratic race has been dead for months, that Edwards, Obama, Richardson, etc. are non-stories. But, then the media gives front page attention to a candidacy that is going nowhere because it fits a narrative they like.
