Stopping Hillary from the left
A newly formed political action committee is aiming to stop Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary by calling into question her progressive credentials.

"We think there are other Democratic presidential candidates who are both more progressive and have a better chance of beating the Republicans than she does," said the president of Democratic Courage, Glenn Hurowitz.

He declined to tip his hand on the group's case against Clinton, but said the PAC plans a paid media campaign in the early primary states to make its position clear.

"We’ll definitely have sufficient resources to make a significant media buy," he said, adding that their campaign against Clinton would be "edgy" enough to get attention. "We don’t need to raise an immense amount of money to make a big difference."

I dont get it- so Hillary & the DLC were allowed to support "Bush's favorite Democrat"- Joe Lieberman (I-3rd Party), but other alleged groups w/i the party cant oppose Hillary?

Sounds like they can dish it out but they cant take it to me.

Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 06:33 PM by Adenoid_Hynkel
Unable to differentiate between criticism from the left and right, you try to paint everyone with the same label with your "with us or against us" nonsense. Hillary has far more in common with Hannity than we do.
Go ahead, trivialize the left. Don't be surprised when the carville. penn strategy loses you the house, senate, governorships and legislatures - and make the presidency easy to steal. that's the real clinton/DLC legacy.

The pages are loading about as quickly as I'm clicking on them.

As far as a donor list, try this page: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/search_donor.asp

8. I dont disagree. Full disclosure on all fronts would be great.
If you think I'm defending Hillary at all, you are barking up the wrong tree- I'm just saying that I'd like to be more educated concerning this PAC.

Feel free to research Hillary's campaign funds and post away.

17. Conservative spoliers are nothing new- (See the DLC's Joe Lieberman)
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 06:51 PM by Dr Fate
Assuming that this org. is indeed conservative, that is. Using that logic, I guess we have to imagine that the Biden & Richardson campaigns are also funded by the GOP.

Joe's DLC endorsed 3rd party run got most of their arguments against Lamont (D) from the right as well. This is nothing new.

18. I wonder if those same Repubs also helped the DLC boost Lieberman (I-3rd party)
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 06:50 PM by Dr Fate
I suppose we also have to ask if Repubs are also funding the Edwards, Obama & Biden campaigns too. LOL!!!

But seriously- this is the PRIMARY- it's possible, I guess, but why do we automatically assume that anyone who opposes Hillary's nomination is funded by the GOP?

30. Is that really "through the looking glass"?
I don't mean to suggest there is a conspiracy on the part of the GOP to select our nominee.

But it's not inconceivable to me that some repub $ might be used to jostle things a bit.

32. So long as we include Arch Republican Murdoch's $$$$ to Hillary in this conspiracy theory...
...then I'll consider your point as somewhat valid.

If it's fair to imagine that the GOP is shaking things up by supporting this PAC (something that has not been proven, BTW)...

...then it is fair to imagine that Republicans like FOX news were doing the same by supporting Hillary & Joe Lieberman (Something that has been proven, BTW)

And of course this, which differentiates him from..ahem...shall we say a few people here:

"I'm definitely not a Hillary hater".

I applaud their efforts, as long as they're done in a spirit of respect without personal attacks.
