5. It's still very hot here but not nearly as windy.

7. Yes the lack of wind means the fires move much more slowly. Supposedly tomorrow

the "Santa Ana conditions" will be over and the sea breeze will return, and that means lower temperatures and higher humidity, both of which help keep fires smaller and easier to control.
