San Diego Fires Made for Some Telling Photo OPS - or- As I See It

The politicians are staging photo ops to herald their success.

Their plan was a success: Successfully tell everyone to get out of town so the fires could burn everything in sight without hurting anyone. Genius. Once the fires were done, successfully tell everyone they could go home. Genius again.

Fight the fire? Well, that would require adequate resources devoted to the fire departments in San Diego County. Not to worry - we don't need to fight no stinking fires --- they'll just burn themselves out ---eventually.

And how about the County's Emergency Website. It would have helped if it would have been accessible, no?

Thank God we have the San Diego Union Tribune. Without their timely reporting of the sinking of the battleship Maine, President McKinley would not know what to do next.
