1. The judge warned the defense team about playing games,
so instead, when he barred certain evidence (they misled him about Libby's intention of testifying) they rested.

I wonder how much of a rebuttal, if any, Fitz will have.

8. It is now clear why Fitz was so careful
when you have a mean, nasty vindictive SOB who you shoot you in the face if you even chirped the wrong way, not to mention starting WWIV in the Muddle East, i fully understand his approach.

the jury gets it when? Tuesday?

9. I don't know
To pardon Libby now would be polictical suicide, for *sh and the GOP.
I would hope, if *sh did pardoned Libby, Congress would sit up and take notice. They are Americans before party.

but in the real (bizaro) world...

12. B*sh doesn't care about political consequences
If the Decider decides to pardon, he's gonna do it. He's not running again. Besides, the consequences of the truth coming out in Plamegate would be worse for him and Dickhead.

Libby will be found not guilty of THE charges they tried him on.

What a joke.

Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 05:15 PM by Beetwasher

You have no idea how the jury will go. As a matter of fact, it's likely he WILL be found guilty, considering that Libby essentially had NO defense whatsoever and Fitz had a great case.

Did you actually pay attention to the trial or are you just talking out of your ass?

21. Probably just

talking out of my ASS. But I do remember numerous 'journalists' who got on the stand and then had to change previous statements they'd made 'on the record' because of faulty memory. This trial is all about that. I wouldn't believe Russert anymore then Libby. To Me - it's very unlikely that a juror could say that they believe the other folks (journalists) memory problems were real but not Libby's.

This trial is just over before it began.

Fitzmas to all and to all a good night

LOL

23. Uh, Again, Did You Pay Attention To The Trial?
Edited on Fri Feb-16-07 10:53 AM by Beetwasher
That is NOT what happened. Witness after witness contradicted Libby's claims. Libby can't even use his "memory defense" because he didn't testify (you do know that, don't you?), so, that is NOT what the trial is about, not anymore. So yes, you ARE talking out of your ass.

18. What a surprise.
I don't expect there will be an appeal either. The only question now is whether he gets pardoned before he's sentenced or after.

22. Why would Libby want to be the fall guy for Cheney? and go to prison?
I expect that a presidential pardon will be coming if he is convicted.
