War costs may total $2.4 trillion
Source: USA Today

WASHINGTON — The cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could total $2.4 trillion through the next decade, or nearly $8,000 per man, woman and child in the country, according to a Congressional Budget Office estimate scheduled for release Wednesday.
A previous CBO estimate put the wars' costs at more than $1.6 trillion. This one adds $705 billion in interest, taking into account that the conflicts are being funded with borrowed money.

No money for health care
No money for improving educational system (including free or low-cost university education)
No money for affordable housing
No money for cultural/public works projects

But let's fund the war machine and build our empire.

Republicans embrace the "culture of life"?!?!?!

ENOUGH!!!

1. OK, I will have to refute this assumption--the Senate last night passed
a big spending bill for health and education with a LOT of Republican support, so it's not always true. I was surprised at how many Repub "fiscal conservative" votes the bill received.

And it's in arms/weapons/private prisons/private "security"/pharmaceuticals/oil and natural gas/water rights/etc.

It AIN'T in giving any public money BACK to the public, for any reason.
