Why not call the PKK terrorists... >

[Flabbergasted]

Many articles over the last week or so about the crisis with Turkey and the PKK note one thing. Even though the PKK is a designated terrorist organization by the US, our media continually refers to them as rebels and not terrorists. Why?

I believe there are two reasons:

#1.) The PKK and Kurds in general have been and continue to be an influential tool of the US government and Israeli government.

#2.) Calling the PKK terrorists would infer that we are actually responsible for their actions something the US doesn't want to consider. IOW: since this is a "war on terror", and PKK is a terrorist organization, we must destroy the PKK which would neutralize one of our tools in the region.

So we call them rebels.

This is a tribal dispute - it is.

Maybe they provoked it - but they believe in it as a society.

Turkey sends tanks rolling in - that populace sides with the militants - that simple.

Then there is a really big problem.
