Bush, on meeting with Iranian leaders: "This is a world in whiuch people say MEET!"
"Uh, I b--look, this a world in which, uh, I'm not suggesting you're this way, but this is a world in which people say, 'MEET!' 'Sit down and meet!' and my answer is, if it yields results. That's what I'm interested in.

So, now he's assigned himself the title of prophet, too? He can see into the future and he knows that meeting with the Iranians won't work?

Will anyone call bullshit?

:banghead: He's the decider, he will decide if meeting will yield results, beforehead...or not. I don't know what to say anymore.

4. And because of his decider-ism
We will probably see Nuke-You-Lur war in my lifetime. Can I be the first to say that will not make me a happy camper...?

3. He is such a bloviating gasbag....
it only yields results if you try it, something he's not willing to do.

6. Of course he knows whether a meeting will yield results.
His idea of "negotiation" is for the other party to do what he ultimately wants them to do as a predicate for him agreeing to negotiate. Since sane people (and even the insane) aren't willing to give up their leverage as a quid pro quo for even beginning talks, Chimpy can tell that the talks have failed before they start.

7. You people are all missing the point... He has never wanted it..
to work, because they planned to hit Iran long ago... It's been a done deal probably since wanting to hit Iraq.

the way he turned to the extreem left, and said "MEEEEET"....

felt like an honest to god Monty Python moment-- only it is for real

denial will be the death of human "kind".
