Do you see what Bush is doing?
He is "pretending" to be that "aw shucks" simple man again trying to appeal to the American public.

8. I think it was Molly Ivins that pointed out
That real Texans don't use the word, "summer," as a verb, as in, "We like to summer at the lake house," when referring to Bush's attempt at spinning a good ol' boy image.

4. He's also making the press look like a bunch of cowards!
They need to make him EXPLAIN what he means by his Iran comments. WHAT is he going to do to protect the troops?

24. Was she there today?
I didn't see her at all. Was she there in front or back. If so the Chimp didn't have the balls to call on her.

of useless laughing fools. They are scared to death of this idiot except for Helen and occassionally David Gregory).

5. Simple, yes. Appealing, no. Only 1 in 3 American adults think Bush is
doing a good job.

I find myself waiting in great anticipation for the Iowa caucus in January of 2008. When the first vote in that caucus is cast, things are going to feel a lot better. It's the first step in the process by which we get the plunger out and unclog the toilet of the Bush administration.

Go, Democrats.

10. I hate it when the "press corps" chuckles along with him.

They are asking decent questions, but the simpleton is in full self-deprecating humor mode. The "journalists" should try a little harder to maintain their decorum.

16. Agree. They slather on the affection too often. Maybe they're goading
him into behaving even more ridiculously than he already does.

Just once I'd love to see Christiane Amanpour or Judith Swallow or Bill Moyers interview Dubya. I'm sure Dubya would never consent to one, but wow, that would be a fun interview to watch.

9. All I can think of is...
How one of his MBA classmates at Harvard said that his Texas accent was "acquired--all made up", and that he wouldn't have DREAMED of talking that way while in grad school. Classmates at Yale and Phillips Andover have said the same thing.

Even Ronald Reagan was a good actor--though you knew he was playing himself. Dub can't even do THAT without sounding like an idiot.:eyes:

B-)

12. "You can disagree with me and support the troops but the proof will be...
...if you give them the funds to get the mission done." I'm paraphrasing but that's, essentially, what he just said.

And, translated, it means you can disagree with him and still be a good American, as long as you don't support legislation that actually makes your disagreeement meaningful, in any way.

It's the "you're either for us or you're for the enemy" meme in sheep's clothing.
