not even a little. I'm really pretty much dead center and I see a lot of DUer's that are. We have A LOT of centrists around here. -- the Right has just gone so far right that we now look like lefties by comparison.

11. If you think of it in a downright practical way, all Democrats

are left of Center and all Republicans are right of center.

In a more specific sense. Some Dems are just a little left of Center
you might call these moderates. Then there are those who are Center
Left(I place myself here, Liberal) then another section would be
my Lefties, and Far Left.

Center is a straight line dividing Dems and Republicans, Left and Right.

Anyone standing on an imaginary line would appear to me to be
someone with no core beliefs in either party.

I believe it was last year I watched a panel discussion on C-SPan.
Gallop Poll People presented. Even they say there is no real
center. They say that even Registered Independents or Swing Voters
lean Democrat or Lean Republican. They are just not committed Dems
or Republicans. This solved the that great "Center" mystery for me.

Not sure that we are 'all left of center' - depends how you define it. I think that the British center is still in many ways to the left of the American center. For example, a British centrist, or even mainstream Conservative such as David Cameron, would (a) support some form of welfare state and universal single-payer National Health Service (though perhaps not with the full level of funding that I would consider necessary); (b) oppose the death penalty under all circumstances. I gather that these are not universal beliefs even among Democrats in the USA.

However, regardless of the exact level of right/left ideology of everyone on this board, we are ALL opposed to Bush's dangerous regime, and ALL consider that the world would benefit if America replaces Republicans with Democrats at high levels of power.
