Editor - I am amused at the commotion surrounding the recent awarding of the Noble Peace Prize to Al Gore. The peace prize has always been something of a joke. Noble was the inventor of dynamite. I am sure it was used for peaceful purposes. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has yielded no less than five such award winners, including Yasser Arafat. Yet the war is no nearer a solution than it ever was.

This year it is awarded to our newest religion: the Church of Global Warming. This church's doctrines are based on faith and superstition as opposed to facts. Their spiel reminds me of the Aztecs' approach to preventing the sun from disappearing in December. The Aztecs sacrificed virgins and brave warriors. They found it worked! The Church of Global Warming sacrifices SUVs, cheap and plentiful water and electricity, freedom of travel and free will. They are "progressives" and given the opportunity they will progress us back to the Stone Age.

He goes on to inform us that Mr. Noble was the inventor of dynamite.

As a former Berkeley resident I can attest to the fact that there is more than one dumbass living there although even most of them would be able to compose a less rambling LTTE than this jackoff.
