The problem with smoking threads:
They are distracting and seem to appear at the oddest times.

Please add your opinions:

2. They also seem...
to make the paper and pencil icons catch fire.

Use an ashtray, people. The life you save may be your own!

4. The problem with smoking threads
is the non-smokers.

11. Don't yell at ME. I'd say the problem might be the rabid "I quit, so should YOU" types.
Not necessarily the nonsmokers.

It's the "I'm miserable, I miss it, so let me excoriate you" crowd, often as not, I suspect...

7. just another fight amongst ourselves
to distract.
if smoking is so bad, why not level the corporates donating to both parties from the smoke factories? whose the worst, a pack + - a day guy/gal, or a few billion a year toward the market of cancer and ill health.

It's a drug, it's addictive, it's profitable. It's street legal.

but medical marijuana is not.

go figure it. I can't.

8. They're started by people who really want to kick the dog?
Powerless, angry types looking for a fight, perhaps? About ANYTHING, really, but cigarettes will do because they seem to draw a crowd?

Or perhaps they are started by people who don't understand that the feet they have under them might best be used to get away from things that bother them. rather than whine ineffectually about them online?

Or maybe by people who love drama? Who feel entitled? Who ignore other pollutants that are more pervasive--like, oh, say...NYC or LA AIR?

Or perhaps by people who have no empathy for those in the grip of a horrid addiction?

I have sympathy for people who smoke--it must be hellish to be so chained....you won't see me yelling at those folks.

14. personally, I think people that marinate themselves in perfumes or cologne
Are far more obnoxious than smokers. That crap can trigger asthma attacks that will send people to the hospital. Can we follow people around with signs that tell them to try bathing on a regular basis, instead of showering in the latest fad of celebrity stink in a bottle? Or can we embarrass the pre-pubescent boys who buy into the lie put forth by the makers of Axe - that if they wear that awful smelling crap large groups of hotties will jump on them in public places? No dear - you WON'T get laid even with the hormone-laced cologne.

18. I think we should be allowed to complain to the manager.
And if that fails, all the way to Congress baby!

Or we could call the police and have the perfume wearers tazed.
