Fox News And Right-Wing Bloggers Attack Gore’s Nobel Prize
Fox News And Right-Wing Bloggers Attack Gore’s Nobel Prize

On Fox and Friends this morning, co-host Steve Doocy wasted no time in attacking the announcement that Al Gore has been named a co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. “Here’s something extraordinary,” Doocy sarcastically said. “What do Al Gore, Yasser Arafat, and that crazy Jimmy Carter have in common?” Co-host Gretchen Carlson responded, “They all won the Nobel Peace Prize?”

Fox then displayed a chyron of the last few winners of the Nobel Peace Prize, causing another co-host Brian Kilmeade, to complain: “There’s the last five winners — see Mohamed El Baradei. What do they have in common? I don’t know about the 2006 winner, but I will say 2005 and 2007 both anti-Bush.”

The Fox panel then turned its attack on An Inconvenient Truth, noting a recent court ruling by a British judge that Gore’s film should be accompanied by “guidance notes” when shown in school. That ruling is now being challenged by schools and teachers. After reporting on the British controversy over Gore’s film, Doocy said:

You know, I’m not a scientist. I don’t know if any of that stuff is true. I don’t think any of it’s true. I just know that my daughter watched the movie last week. … took three shots at George Bush. And my daughter, who’s just 18, was turned off by how it was political. So there you go.

10. Heaven forbid his daughter's beautiful mind be sullied with reality. That wouldn't be fair now.
She needs to join Barb Bush's "Beautiful Mind" club. They could sit around and crassly avoid viewing others' suffering all day long.

11. Man, are they scared or what?
It's been barely 6 hours since the announcement and Fox, CNN, and the usual suspects on the neo-con roster of fascist hate-mongers are on the offensive.

Sweat much, neo-cons?

15. I really, really, really hate that Fox morning show
Something about the idea that there are some people out there who wake up to watch that crap to get the day's marching orders for their right wing talking points.

Thankfully, I don't think the audience is all that particuarly big.

Still, the perky "hosts", especially that dumb arse Brian Kilmeade, really annoy me.

27. The worst was the ambush--I mean interview--of Janeane Garafalo in Feb. 03
Video is here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JCakTroF88

Right before the Iraq War started. They actually invited Janeane on the show, and Brian "Please take me serious as a pundit and not a second rate sports reporter" Kilmeade immediately laid into her, parroting the false WMD claims of the White House at the time, and at one point shouting at Janeane "Saddam Hussein must love you!"

It was the single most unabashedly blatant example of how unfair and unbalanced Fox News really is. Yet in the end, Garafalo was right and Kilmeade was wrong. I knew it from the day I saw it, but isn't it funny you'd never hear anyone making the same WMD claims today after being proven so wrong.

Since they know Hillary will get beat in the general, they REALLY need him not to run.

25. Fox
Don't expect much from media outlets that schedule a stain on humanity like Ann Coulter on their shows. If they allow her to use them to run at the mouth spewing her poison, why would they recognize a statesman and a patriotic American such as Al Gore who has actually done something good for the world?

Anyone who listens to them for the truth is too far gone to matter.

Turn Faux off. Their lies and toxicity are too much to endure.

The fact that all the right-wingers hate Gore's winning so bad just tickles me pink, because there isn't fuck-all they can do about it, except snivel, piss and moan.
