I was just wondering if any republican President, Vice President, former President or former VP or even a former Candidate for said offices has ever won a Nobel prize in the last 100 years or so?

Theodore Roosevelt, Elihu Root, and, more recently, Henry Kissenger.

o Roosevelt in 1906 for peace treaty collaborations.
o Root in 1912 for for initiating various arbitration agreements.
o Charles Gates Dawes in 1925 (split decision) for WW-I war reparataions.
o Frank B. Kellogg. 1929, for the Pact of Paris, an attempt to end war.
o Nicholas Murray Butler, 1931 (split decision), for promoting the Pact of Paris.
o Kissenger (sharing it with Lê Ðức Thọ ) for the Vietnam peace accord.

In the meantime, though, we've had a few Democrats aso win,
including:

o Woodrow Wilson
o Cordell Hull (Secretary of State around WW-II)
o Ralph Bunche
o George Marshall (something to do with rebuilding Yurp ;) )
o Dr. Martin Luther King
o Jimmy Carter
o Al Gore, Jr.

14. OMG!
I thought the Onion's: "Amputee Children of Cambodia Award Peace Prize to Henry Kissinger" was a joke about the peace process. I didn't know he actually won one.

15. And a famous satirist (can't recall name - it'll come to me later)
retired immediately. He said that satire was no longer possible in a world where Henry Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize.
