DU is just awesome.

The news headlines appear here faster than on most of the news sites.

If you don't understand what something means, how something works, when something happened, there is someone here who does and will be happy to bring you up to speed.

DU is a diverse community where we don't always agree with each other, but in spite of that there's tremendous support and camaraderie.

You come to DU when you're scared, hurt, angry, when a loved one or a pet dies, when you just need to be around others who you identify with, and when you have nowhere else to turn. And you'll find someone here who understands how you feel and will send good thoughts your way.

I always try to keep an open mind, and I learn something new every single day here. I even learn things from those who disagree with me, because it never hurts to try to put yourself in someone else's shoes and see things from another point of view. If you keep your mind open, you can always get something out of it.

So I'd like to thank those who gave me a heart, it means a lot. And thanks for allowing me to be a part of the DU community. It is an honor.

Every person can't be up-to-speed on every BushCo evil deed.
It's hard to keep up.

Sometimes I need help flushing out the details of the latest neocon
thuggery.

I always know that I can ask a question at DU, and someone will help. It
truly is such a great tool for staying informed and for understanding the
perverse, sick, warmongering and un-American debauchery that Junior is
currently unleashing on my country, my friends and my family.

So, thank you DU. I may be more depressed. However, I am informed.
