News Alert CNN: Kyle 'Dusty' Foggo to be indicted!
Remember Dusty?

A former third-ranking official in the CIA, Kyle "Dusty" Foggo, is expected to be indicted in San Diego today in an ongoing investigation into public corruption and defense contracts, according to two sources familiar with the case.

Here's a 2006 story on ol' Dusty

March 3, 2006 — A stunning investigation of bribery and corruption in Congress has spread to the CIA, ABC News has learned.

The CIA inspector general has opened an investigation into the spy agency's executive director, Kyle "Dusty" Foggo, and his connections to two defense contractors accused of bribing a member of Congress and Pentagon officials.

4. Punish the traitorous war profiteers.
Treasonous war profiteers are running this country, led by corrupt Dick Cheney and stuffed-shirt figurehead GW Bush. We need a new revolution in the USA to take our country back from these criminal profiteers. Eisenhower saw the writing on the wall and warned us about war profiteers gaining too much power in our government. Now the profiteers of which Eisenhower spoke are in complete control!

Let the house-cleaning begin and let the punishment be harsh ! There racketeers must be eliminated one-by-one !

8. We want Wilkes! We want Wilkes!
Foggo is a longtime friend of Brent Wilkes, referred to as co-conspirator No. 1 in government documents filed in the Cunningham investigation. The two played high school football and were in each other's weddings.

According to government documents, Wilkes gave Cunningham $630,000 in cash and gifts in exchange for help in getting government contracts.

Wilkes was the founder of ADSC Inc, in 1995. Under Wilkes, the company obtained more than $95 million in government contracts.

18. Didn't Wilkes also do a lot of doning to Rep. Jerry Lewis?
Former chair of the House Appropriations committee?

Found this item: http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-11-29-cunningham-case_x.htm

Funny how these GOP pay-to-play scandals seem to be overlap.

20. Yes, and I think Doolittle might also be being looked at here too.

Not to mention we still haven't heard any confirmation of what has happened with the grand jury investigation of Brian Bilbray's residency, or whether Duncan Hunter's being pulled into Hookergate and also being investigated perhaps for tax assessment fraud when he was paying taxes on his old house a lot less than what he got back on his insurance claim when it burned down in the fire a couple of years ago here.

In short, it was probably any or all of these investigations that Gonzales was trying to shut down when they asked Lam to leave.

21. Hunter got money from Wilkes - and along with "Duke" pressured
the Pentagon to give an unrequested, and reportedly unwanted contract to a Wilkes company. It is amazing that Hunter is nuts enough to think that with all the dirt swirling around him, that he would have any chance at becoming president.

I think the 'saturday night massacre' - of which Lam was a part of - is going to come back and bite bushco and the GOP party in the *ss.

Treason is horrific and the public at large is asleep at the wheel. Thank budda for the outcome of the last election. This systemic corruption has got to lead to blanket impeachment, and none too soon.

19. Yup! I tried to start a Valentine's Day flower treatment for her a week ago to tepid response...
So didn't follow through much with it. Anyone still want to try and get some flowers sent to her office tomorrow before she leaves on Thursday? I know that Progressive Post here is trying to champion an effort to get her flowers. I'll try and help organize it here on my end. If I get a response or two here, I'll start a separate thread shortly. I'll get a flower site with a paypal setup, etc. shortly if there's enough interest here!

I think it would be a nice gesture to her on her way out. Earlier it said that she was a Republican that was appointed by Bush. Do you know that she's now a registered independent? Hopefully she gets retained to still go after these cases as Rahm Emmanuel requested that she be.

Edited on Tue Feb-13-07 12:23 PM by spanone
http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/02/13/cia.foggo/index.html

Here's a qoute from the CNN story: ~snip~

Foggo was plucked from relative obscurity by then-CIA Director Porter Goss to become the CIA's executive director, the agency's No. 3 position. As such, Foggo was in charge of day-to-day operations at the spy agency.

YET, the story goes on to point out that Goss is not charged....

23. Now here comes the story of "nine fingers," foggo, and the ring of doom. . .
Edited on Tue Feb-13-07 02:58 PM by pat_k
Sorry. Couldn't resist. Every time I hear about these guys, I'm plagued by the lines from "The Return of the King"
"What a tale we have been in, Mr. Frodo, haven't we?" he said. "I wish I could hear it told! Do you think they will say: Now comes the story of Nine-fingered Frodo and the Ring of Doom?

For those unfamiliar with "nine-fingers":

New connections between the CIA and the Cunningham Scandal
Posted on Tuesday, May 9, 2006.
By Ken Silverstein.

. . .
Foggo is closely tied to Brent Wilkes, the San Diego defense contractor who is alleged to have bribed Cunningham and provided him with prostitutes. Foggo has admitted he was at some of Wilkes’s now-infamous parties at Washington hotels—though he denies any knowledge of the prostitutes—and the CIA and law enforcement authorities are carefully examining his relationship with the defense contractor. Newsweek has reported that Foggo, Cunningham, and Bassett/"Nine Fingers" attended a Wilkes poker party at the Westin Grand Hotel.

When you buy anything from a guy with a name like Dusty Foggo, you do it at your own risk.
