It's time to fight the "war on terror" in a different and smarter way...
First of all, our leaders must stop lying to the people. We do not have to spend the money we are spending in Iraq on a war "that has no end". The "war on terror" that has been created by Bush, Cheney, and the "neo-cons" does not exist. It is a creation of fear and paranoia. They have been criminal in their lies and purposes.

It is time to fight the war in a different way. It is time to engage our allies and to share our "intelligence" and our resources to put the "terrorists" in a box. They are not the world "scourge" that Bush and the neo-cons would have us believe. They have mostly created the present "threat" from their own imaginations. They ask, "Why haven't we been attacked since 9/11?" They wish for people to believe that it is because of their efforts and their competence. Only a fool would believe that.

Now is the time for the Democrats to tell the American people that Bush and Cheney have it all wrong. They are fighting the battle in a way that hurts our country, our military, and our relations with our allies. Now is the time for the Democrats to tell this White House that their war of fear and incompetence must come to an end. There is a better way to fight this "war on terror".

1. The terror threat is a complete fabrication
Obviously, there are a few people out there that would like to inflict damage on the US, and an even smaller number that can actually inflict great damage on us. Seems like * is helping to ADD to that number, not decrease it.

If we were facing the sort of terror threat that BushCo would have us believe, where are all these supposed sleeper cells? Why don't we have suicide bombings occurring all around the country? Why don't we see car bombs exploding on a regular basis? Where are all the attempted hijackings?

The simple fact is that there is no terror campaign being aimed at the US. What you have is a few criminal attacks undertaken by a small extremist organization that is marginalized even in the Muslim community. It's funny how the neocons love to blast Democrats for their "law-enforcement" approach, when it's obvious their strong-arm military tactics have failed miserably. In fact, the neocons have actually helped increase the threat to this country, fueling a never ending vicious circle.

Imagine - if we had taken all the $$$ spent on this misguided war in Iraq, and focused that on bringing Bin Laden and his organization to justice.
