Poll question: Does Dems' Campaign Detract From Hearings, Trials, Accountability, Impeachment & War in Iraq/Iran?
Does Democrats' Early Campaigning Detract From Hearings, Trials, Accountability, Impeachment & Stopping War in Iraq/Iran?

Would the new Democratic majority in Congress benefit the American people (and themselves) by postphoning individual campaigns to unify and address the current Constitutional crises, hearings and investigations, administration trials and accountability, current and impending wars and the national call for impeachment BEFORE Bush starts WWIII?

 :nuke: :patriot:

1. I think as things develop, they'll work to highlight each other.
If one of the most talked about issues is a debate on the war or impeachment or whatever else, guess what the campaigners will be talking about too?

8. Haven't "things developed" enough for a sense of urgency?
And wouldn't issues be "more talked about" if Congress Dems were focused on them instead of their individual prospects?

Another question:

Won't campaigning affect HOW or IF they talk about certain issues............?

2. Absolutely, as long as the media concentrates on it and everything.
else except the crimes against the constitution and the "thirty year war".

3. What Trials, Accountability, Impeachment & War in Iraq/Iran?
The trial of Libby started before the Dems took over. Acountability is self evident-apparently. There isn't any serious talk about impeachment-and the time table for that is shrinking. The war in Iraq-we have a non-binding resolution. Great. The campaigns are intense-because this next election is almost assured to a Democrat. I'm not a Kerry fan(as a candidate) but I wish more Democrats would act like him right now. He seems focused on the task of good government. You know, the thing we elect them for?

4. I think there are plenty of
Dem Congress-critters to address all these issues if they choose to. Unfortunately the work that is currently being done, on behalf of the majority of Americans, is not a subject the corporate media cares to highlight.

6. Yes. If they are more concerned with job security than doing the right thing, definitely.
I didn't elect my representatives to protect their political careers, I elected them to end this war and stop this criminal administration once and for all.

7. Hell No - Trust Me - These People Can Multitask.
Besides, all they have to do is show up, they have the staff to do the real work.
